Buglia wins 10U championship at Darden Towe

Fluvanna resident Caleb Buglia won the
championship in the 10 and under division at the October 8 tennis tournament
held at Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville, VA. The tournament was organized by the
Charlottesville Area Tennis Association. 
Junior players from central and northern Virginia competed in two
divisions-  8 & under and 10 & under. Caleb played three matches, and his final round
was a very close match against Luke Cowan of Arlington, VA.  Caleb and Luke played out a tie breaker in
the first set that was full of great rallies.  After winning the first
set, he finished the match with a strong 4:1 second set. The final score was 4:3
4:1. Caleb plays tennis at Friendship Tennis Academy
located at Camp Friendship, in Palmyra, VA. 
He is coached by Alina Ackenbom, a certified tennis professional and
director of tennis programs at Camp Friendship.
