There
are over 50 athletes named David Johnson listed on Mile-Split.com.
However the first name on that list goes to the senior triple jumper
from Charlottesville High School who got the #1 ranking in the nation
this past Saturday at the St. Christopher’s Invitational. David jumped
49 feet, 10.25 inches. It is the 17th longest high school triple jump
ever, and is just over 2 feet short of the record set last February in
Delaware. If he were in college he would be the 37th best triple jumper
in the country right now. David is not a stranger to success as he will
be defending his state outdoor title this spring. For those who need a
primer on what you need to be  a triple jumper check this
instructional pdf out.
