Fluvanna 9U wins district, hosts State Tournament

Fluvanna Youth Baseball 9U Cal Ripken All Star District V Champions

The
9U team from Fluvanna is continuing to dominate in Cal Ripken All Star
as they did last year in 8U. Last year they were the Virginia State
Champions and the Southeast Regional 8U runner up.  The FYB 9U team won
the District V Championship on 6/25/2011 beating Rockville 10-0, Madison
25-1 and then Rockville again in the Championship game 3-2.
Fluvanna
Youth Baseball will be hosting the 9U Cal Ripken State Tournament
7/6-7/11 at the Carysbrook Complex on Rt 15. More information available

Fluvanna's
first game is scheduled for Wednesday 7/6 at 7pm. The winner of the
Virginia State Championship will go to the southeastern regional
championship in Startown, North Carolina. Fluvanna 9U is managed by A.
J. Bowman and the coaches are Mike Shields and Mike Algieri. The team
roster is Brandon Lucas, Drew Pace, Andrew Ward, Kevin Ward,Trace
Reuschling, Drue Hackenberg, Cameron Shields, Kyle Algieri, Toby
Sherman, Justin Warner, Ryan Groome,  & C.J. Allen. Come out and
watch the 9U Fluvanna All Stars on their quest for another Virginia
State Championship!
