Shooting Stars Cheerleading

The
Charlottesville Shooting Stars are currently holding registration for
their 2011-2012 teams, The teams have limited pace so if your child has
shown an interest then please register as soon as possible.The season
started up again on August 15th. On September 12th the Shooting Stars
will begin having evaluations. Between August 15th and September 12th
they will teach everyone the fundamentals of cheerleading and will then
evaluate what they have learned and place them on the Level 1 or Level 2
team in accordance with USASF (the All-Star Governing Body) rules and
regulations. One of the best parts about the Shooting Stars team is that
no one gets cut from the team because we truly believe that if you want
to cheer than we can teach you everything you will need to know!
However, we do want to be as safe as possible, as cheerleading truly is a
contact sport so we look to place your child on the team which will
help them to excel at the proper level.
Both
teams practice at Boars Head from 6:30-8:30 pm on Monday and Thursday,
however a membership to Boars Head is not required. Attendance to all
practices is very important as cheerleading truly is a team sport. The
season runs from August 15th until the middle of May. The
Shooting Stars are a not-for-profit team. All of your money goes to
competition fees, gym rental, new mats etc, and all of the coaches are
volunteer! Even though we are volunteers we do have over 25 years
