Piedmont Family YMCA

The Piedmont Family YMCA is a community supported organization that offers affordable, family friendly programs and activities structured to encourage healthy lifestyles in a wholesome and safe environment for all!

Program offerings include: Basketball, Cheerleading, Dance (ballet & tap), Flag Football, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Track, Wrestling, and Summer Camps.

The goal of all YMCA programs and services is to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The YMCA operates under four core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. These serve as the guiding basis for all operations and activities. We serve children of all ages, races, abilities, incomes and religions. Nobody is turned away because of inability to pay.

Goals of YMCA programs are for all kids to:
1. Grow personally: Build self-esteem and self-reliance
2. Develop values for daily living: Develop moral and ethical behavior based on Judeo-Christian principles.
3. Improve personal and family relations: Learn to care, communicate and cooperate with others close to them.
4. Appreciate diversity: Respect people of different ages, abilities, incomes, races, religions, cultures and beliefs.
5. Become leaders and supports: Learn the give and take necessary to work toward the common good.
6. Develop specific skills: Acquire new knowledge and ways to grow in spirit, mind and body.
7. Have fun: Enjoy life.

The Piedmont Family YMCA is currently in the process of conducting a capital campaign to bring a much needed family facility to the Charlottesville/Albemarle and surrounding communities.
