There are quite a few ski areas offering lessons within a few hours drive of Central Virginia. Some of the closest include Wintergreen and Massanutten. Our ski report widget has all of the ski areas latest info on snow and is updated every 24 hours. Check the instruction/coaching page for a full listing of the closest areas that provide instruction as well as a great mountain to ski on.

 

Almost all of the mountains offer rentals for equipment thought their ski shops and both half and full day lift tickets are available. Check the resort websites for the most up to date information on lift ticket prices.

 

A few of the schools located in the area offer chances to learn through their sports program although none offer competitive opportunities.
